Usage Limits
Understand your plan's limits and how usage is tracked.
Message Limits
- Free - starter usage
- Plus - higher monthly usage
- Pro - Higher headroom with fair use policy
Each message you send counts as 1 message. AI responses don't count against your limit.
Monthly Allowance
Plus, Pro, and Max plans include usage that covers premium models, image generation, and video creation. The cost varies by model -- more powerful models use more usage per request, while standard models like GPT-4o, Gemini Flash, and Haiku are included at no extra cost.
Pro subscribers receive a higher usage than Plus, giving you more room to use top-tier models and creative tools.
File Upload Limits
- Maximum file size: 25MB per file
- Maximum files per message: 10 files
- PDF pages: Up to 100 pages
- Supported formats: PDF, DOCX, TXT, images, code files
Rate Limits
To ensure fair access for all users:
- Messages: 30 per minute (Plus), 60 per minute (Pro)
- Image generation: 10 per hour (Plus), 30 per hour (Pro)
- Video generation: 5 per hour (Pro only)
- Web searches: 50 per hour
Checking Your Usage
View your current usage:
- Click your profile icon in the header
- Select "Usage" from the menu
- View messages used and allowance remaining
When Limits Reset
- Monthly limits reset on your billing date
- Rate limits reset hourly or daily
- Unused allowance does not roll over

If you regularly hit your limits, consider upgrading to a higher plan.
