Chat Interface
Master the Shiori chat interface to get the most out of your AI conversations.
Interface Overview
The chat interface consists of several key areas:
- Chat History - Sidebar showing your previous conversations
- Model Selector - Choose from 45+ AI models
- Message Area - View your conversation with the AI
- Input Box - Type your messages and attach files
- Settings - Configure preferences and features
Sending Messages
To send a message:
- Type your message in the input box at the bottom
- Press Enter to send
- Use Shift + Enter for a new line
- Click the send button to submit your message
Switching AI Models
Change models anytime during your conversation:
- Click the model name in the header
- Browse models by provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.)
- Select a new model - your conversation continues seamlessly
Keyboard Shortcuts
- Cmd/Ctrl + K - Open command palette
- Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + O - New chat
- Cmd/Ctrl + B - Toggle sidebar
- Esc - Stop generation
Additional Features
- File Uploads - Attach documents and images
- Web Search - Enable real-time information
- Image Generation - Create AI images
- Message History - Review past conversations
